Venn Mediation UK was founded by twin sisters Di Harvey and Nikki von Bülow. Nikki and Di have enjoyed very different careers and each brings 25 years of experience of managing disputes across diverse groups and environments. They use this wealth of knowledge and understanding in their mediations.
Di is a sporting and membership sector professional with a background in equine industry strategy, regulation, sport delivery, participation and management. Her experience spans horse breeding, ownership, training, competition, health and welfare, and working with The Veterinary Client Mediation service for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Nikki’s corporate Human Resources background includes working for Credit Suisse and Cable & Wireless. She now works with diverse clients including law and technology firms; interior designers; engineering, power and construction companies; chartered surveyors; medical, sporting and educational charities; schools; care homes; retailers; farms and farm suppliers; media and recruitment consultants, and more.
Why choose mediation to resolve your dispute?
For many people and businesses, it may not be appropriate, cost or time effective to appoint lawyers and wait anxiously, for perhaps a year or more, for a court or tribunal to hear your case and decide whether you will win or lose. You cannot be sure you will win, or even if the matter will be finalised on the day, with appeals a real possibility. There could be legal costs to pay, even if your case is upheld, so it may not feel like ‘winning’ in the end.
With Venn Mediation you are a person not a case. We are not lawyers focussed on the legal arguments. We will listen to your interests, needs and concerns, applying a dignified process to quickly bring your dispute to resolution.
Nikki and Di are professionally trained by the Society of Mediators to international standards and fully accredited mediators for civil and commercial disputes. In addition, each offers a specialist area for mediating. Nikki specialises in workplace dispute resolution. Di specialises in equine, sport, membership and veterinary dispute resolution.
